Arrival and transfer to the hotel

8:30 AM Breakfast. At the indicated time, we will depart for the fortified citadel of Kuélap. After about 45 minutes, we will arrive at the archaeological site for macro-observation and explanation of the residential complex built on a hillside. Then we will travel to the town of Nuevo Tingo, and subsequently to the boarding station and departure platform to board Peru's first cable car system. This cable car will take us on a 20-minute ride along 4 kilometers to Malca Pampa. From there, we will walk for about 20 minutes to enter Kuélap. A professional guide with extensive experience will explain the historical process of Kuélap during the 3-hour visit. We will explore different sites such as ceremonial enclosures, the main temple, circular rooms, the tower, etc. Return by cable car, followed by lunch and return to the city of Chachapoyas.

5:30 p.m.: Arrival in Chachapoyas.

8:30 AM We will begin our two-hour hike to the base of the mysterious Gocta Waterfall (771 meters high, considered the third tallest in the world). We will arrive at the Gocta Waterfall amphitheater. Enjoy the views, take photos, swim, etc. The return hike to the village of Cocachimba takes two hours, where we will enjoy a typical lunch.

8:00 AM Transfer by car from Gocta Lodge to the Cocahuico turnoff to board the vehicle that will take us to the village of Cruz Pata. From there, we will walk 25 minutes to the Karajia Sarcophagi burial site, a collection of funerary statues located on an inaccessible rocky cliff. Afterward, our vehicle will take us to Luya-Lamud where we will enjoy a delicious regional lunch. Continuing our visit in the afternoon, we will enter the Quiocta Cave where we can observe thousands of stalagmites and stalactites of different shapes and sizes. The ancient Chachapoya people used this place as a cemetery, and during the tour, we will see skeletal remains scattered throughout the cave. Return to Chachapoyas.
