Arrive at Puerto Maldonado and enjoy a warm reception at the airport. Transfer to our office in the city where you can conveniently store any luggage not needed for your jungle stay.

Embark on a scenic morning voyage on the Madre de Dios River, a 40-minute journey to the enchanting Corto Maltes Amazonia Lodge.

Upon arrival, refresh with a natural fruit drink and receive a briefing from your guide about your stay. You'll then receive the keys to your cozy bungalow. Enjoy a delightful lunch and take some time to relax before your first jungle excursion.

  • Trail and Shiringuero Camp: Set out in the day for your first encounter with the jungle. Guided by an expert, discover tropical trees, medicinal plants, and the lush nature of the 60-hectare concession that Corto Maltes Amazonia preserves. Visit a shiringuero camp to learn about the traditional process of rubber (latex) collection, a vital economic activity in the Madre de Dios region. This trek lasts approximately two hours.

After your excursion, unwind back at the lodge. Relax by the pool, lounge in a hammock on your bungalow terrace, savor an exotic cocktail at the bar, indulge in a relaxing massage, shop for a jungle souvenir, or head to the river dock to watch the breathtaking sunset.

  • Caiman Watching: As evening falls, embark on a thrilling night boat ride for a 'Caiman Safari.' With some luck, you may spot other wildlife along the riverbanks.

Conclude your day with a delicious dinner in our dining room and reflect on the day's adventures.
