1 Explore Iquitos: City Tour, Butterfly Farm, and Lodge Retreat

Our journey begins as our guide greets you at the airport or your hotel, whisking you away in a private bus. Throughout this voyage, an English-speaking guide will accompany you. Start your travel with a city tour of Iquitos, exploring:

  • The Main Square
  • The Catholic Cathedral
  • The historic Iron House designed by Eiffel
  • The vibrant Boulevard
  • The Municipal Museum

Note: Depending on your flight arrival, the city tour might occur on the final day of your vacation.

Next, we embark on a boat excursion up the Nanay and Momon rivers. Note: You may share this boat trip with other guests heading to the lodge.

  • Visit the Pilpintuwasi Butterfly Farm
  • Explore the Serpentarium to encounter snakes and other exotic creatures

Upon reaching the lodge, you're welcomed with a refreshing drink made from local tropical fruits.

2 Jungle Lodge

Breakfast at the Lodge. 05. 30 We trek to a place for bird watching, canoeing for an hour to hear the songs that different birds emit in awakening. This is followed by a walk to explore the jungle with the guide explaining different medicinal plants, insects, birds, butterflies and other species. We visit the Jibaro tribe and the villages of Gen-Gen and Centro Fuerte to learn about their customs. We visit the "Chullachaki"Mini-Zoo, the Botanical Gardens with the guide explaining tales of the jungle. Lunch and dinner included.

3 Explore the Jungle: Lodge, Distillery, and Fishing Adventure

Begin your morning with an invigorating hike to the Trapiche, where you can savor the exquisite flavors of local sugarcane liquor. Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Piranha Park, home to five mesmerizing lakes teeming with piranhas and crocodiles. Spend the day fishing in the river, where an abundant variety of fish await your skill. As evening falls, join a vibrant jungle jam session, experiencing the rhythms of the rainforest with local acoustic instruments.

4 Exploring the Jungle Wonders and Iquitos

Embark on an unforgettable journey to visit the Boras Indigenous Tribe, where you'll immerse yourself in their vibrant culture. In the morning, we travel back to the lively city of Iquitos.

  • Witness the mesmerizing meeting of the Nanay and Momon Rivers, where you might catch a glimpse of the playful pink or gray dolphins.
  • Explore the Quistococha Zoo and Lake, home to a variety of exotic wildlife and serene landscapes.
  • Discover the floating city of Belen, often referred to as the Venice of the Jungle, with its unique architecture and bustling markets.

INCLUDED

  • Free transport from the hotel or airport in our private bus to the port of Bellavista on the Nanay River. Boat ride in our own boat to the lodge.
  • Transport by boat to the Bora Indian villages and the Serpentarium and back to the port of Bellavista. Transport by our own private bus back to the hotel or to the airport.
  • Free use of all installations at the lodge wich include the swimming pool, the look-out tower, the musical instruments, the games rooms, the hammocks, the canoes, etc.
  • Three meals a day during the whole period that the tourist is inside the lodge: breakfast, and lunch: Tea and coffee 24 hours a day from our hot water fountain. If the tourist arrives mid-aftermoon then dinner will be served. The same applies for the final day.
  • Bottled water from a water fountain next to the bar and swimming pool, fresh fruit juices during breakfast.
  • A permanent English speaking guide will be assigned to the tourists during their visit to the lodge and will stay with them until they leave. Guides are available in other languages upon request.
  • All tours mentioned in the program are included in the price.

  • Plane tickets, airport taxes.
  • Food and drinks in the city of Iquitos the first and last day.
