11:30 We begin the guided tour of the most important places and attractions of Lima, the "City of Kings". In the tour we will visit the Historical Center of Lima, Plaza Mayor, Government Palace, Cathedral Basilica, Archbishop's Palace, Municipal Palace.
We will continue with the Church of Santo Domingo, where the tombs of Santa Rosa and San Martín de Porres and balconies of Colonial Lima are located. Then visit the Convent and Church of San Francisco, the largest monumental set of Colonial Art in America and Cultural Heritage of Humanity. We will visit the Basilica of 21 altars, convent of cloisters, chapter and clementine hall, choir, library of the monks, museum of site that exhibits 11 canvases of the school of Rubens, the Sacristy with canvases of Zurbarán and Rivera, the large decorated patio with Sevillian tiles from the 16th century, Moorish arches and underground catacombs, which was formerly a large public cemetery and finally we will visit the Plaza San Martín. The second most important square in the city of Lima. Time to have lunch in a good restaurant (free). After lunch we will continue through the residential districts of San Isidro and Miraflores where we will have a panoramic view of the Huaca Pucllana, called by the Incas as Ñaupallaqta, "Sacred Town"; El Olivar park in San Isidro, with olive trees brought from Spain in the 15th century; the Kennedy Park of Miraflores and Larcomar, tourist and entertainment center, symbol of modern Lima and privileged point to appreciate a spectacular panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean.
