11:30 AM we start by visiting the Parabolic Arch, a monument located in the Civic Center of the city of Tacna, inaugurated on August 28, 1959, with the name of Monument to the heroes Admiral Miguel Grau Seminario and Colonel Francisco Bolognesi.

Ornamental Fountain

The Ornamental Fountain of Tacna is 6 m. high and 6 m. in diameter, of Greek neoclassical style, located in the main square of the city of Tacna. It symbolizes Neptunes journey to the Panathenaea or war of the gods accompanied by his children Triton and Nereid and his wife Amphitrite.

Cathedral of Tacna

The Cathedral of Tacna is located in the civic center of the city of Tacna, department of Peru; it began to be built in 1875, in the same place that occupied the old and first temple of the place

Locomotive #3 of Tacna

The Tacna-Arica Railway is owned by the State of Peru and provides service between the city of Tacna (Peru) and Arica (Chile), the latter was agreed in the Treaty of 1929.

The Muslim Mosque

The Bab ul Islam Mosque is located in the Peruvian city of Tacna. The mosque was built by a group of Pakistani merchants and is the only Islamic construction in Peru from a traditional architectural point of view, it was built in the year 2000.

Little by little we are moving away from the center of the city of Tacna, and entering another district/commune called Pocollay, where the typical vineyards of the place stand out.

We will make a stop at a renowned winery in Tacna, where you will taste for free more than 10 varieties of wine, pisco, and macerated drinks produced in the district of Pocollay.

Old Valley of Tacna

Tacna is located in a valley, due to population growth, the center of Tacna became urbanized, on this tour we will move away from the center and pass through the route of the old valley, where various fruit trees are harvested and you can see the country restaurants of Tacna.

District of Calana

10 km from Tacna, is the district of Calana characterized by the cultivation of apricots, where the annual apricot fair is held, also a wide variety of country restaurants, in this district you can see the classic houses of Tacna, the Mojinete houses.

District of Pachia

17 km from Tacna, is the district of Pachia where this district is characterized by its typical dish, the Corn Cake of Pachia.

Archaeological Center of Miculla

With an area of 23 square kilometers, we will visit the archaeological center where the Petroglyphs (stone engravings) are located, we will enter the site museum where an explanation of the petroglyphs will be given.

Miculla Suspension Bridge

A walk of approximately 20 minutes will be made to cross the Miculla suspension bridge.

Return to Tacna

Return to Tacna after 4 hours of tour.

Panoramic View of the City of Tacna

On the way to the Alto de la Alianza Field, you will be able to observe the panoramic view of the entire City of Tacna.

Alto de la Alianza Field

We will make a stop at the Alto de la Alianza Holy Field, where the last battle of the War of the Pacific took place.

Monumental Complex

An explanation will be given of the museums esplanade, where monuments rest representing the phases in which Tacna returned to Peru. 

Site Museum

Then enter the museum where relics are found, such as letters from generals, unpublished photographs, and weaponry found after the battle.

Holy Field

The walk through the holy field, where the fallen soldiers rest symbolically represented with a white cross..

Giant Onyx Cross

The most representative cross of the holy field, where on its surface is a poem dedicated to the fallen soldiers and the return of Tacna to Peru.

Return to the city of Tacna

After approximately 1 hour of the tour, return to the city of Tacna

08:30 AM - Panoramic View of the City of Tacna

Along the route to Tarata, a complete view of the city of Tacna will be observed.            

Chilean Checkpoint

After 1 hour of travel, the first stop will be made at the Chilean Checkpoint, where the border between Peru and Chile was located after Tacna came under the control of the Chilean government.     

Apacheta Viewpoint

We will reach the highest summit of the tour at an altitude of 3500 meters above sea level, where the ancestral ritual of payment to the pachamama (Mother Earth) will be performed.

The Marriage Stone

The next stop is at the Marriage Stone, a natural rock formation where an urban legend was created in that area. 

Colonial Church of Tarucachi

We will visit the town of Tarucachi, where the oldest church in Tacna from the Colonial era is located.

Main Square of Tarata

We arrive at the province of Tarata, where the typical lunch of Tarata will be held, Main Square of Tarata, and also visit the site museum, purchase souvenirs, etc.       

San Benedicto Church of Tarata

The parish church of Tarata is one of the oldest in the Tacna region. It was inaugurated on January 3, 1741.

Thermal Baths of Putina – Ticaco

To finish the tour and leave relaxed, it will end at the Hot Springs of Ticaco – Putina, we will stay for approximately 1 hour.

Return to the city of Tacna

We will return to the city of Tacna at 5:00 pm.

Transfer to the bus station or Airport.
