1 Day 1 Puno - Sillustani Ruins

Arrival and transfer to hotel in Puno.

Rest of morning free to acclimatize to possible altitude sickness. Guided tour of Sillustani pre-Inca cemetery in lake Umayo. Here we will admire the ‘chullpas’, built of cylindrical stone by pre-Incan civilizations that inhabited this region. The ruins are located 32 km (22 miles) from Puno on the road from the airport of Juliaca. Overnight in Puno.

2 Day 2 Puno / Uros Island / Amantani

AM Breakfast at the hotel.

After breakfast, transfer to the port to board the vessel with which we will visit to the UrosIndians Floating Island, where you can appreciate their customs and in particular the construction of the islands and their homes constructed using ‘totora reeds’, an aquatic plant typical of the island. Afterwards we move on the Amantani Island in order to discover its myths, customs and its impressionable landscape. Overnight at the home of the Islanders.

3 Day 3 Amantani - Taquile Island - Puno

AM Typical Breakfast in an Indian home.

Transfer to the Taquile Island, located 35 km east of Puno, where we can appreciate thecustoms of the inhabitants of the island in constant contact with nature, which are remarkable for their traditional handicrafts and clothing, so you will witness their customs, which remain unchanged, you can observe the daily work of the islanders. There are two possibilities for reaching the village: the first is for people who like physical exertion you have to climb the island by 533 steps to the entrance arch and descend to the Main Plaza; the second is to take a gentle climbing slope towards the town, taking about 1 hour of walking.
