Book 3-Day Huancavelica Classic Tour

Includes a tour of recognition of the city starting at Plaza de Armas, a very peaceful place with a view of the surrounding mountains of the city that are the jealous guardians including the cathedral. We head towards the hot spring pool climbing the steps where the traditional dances of the Former Villa Rica de Oropesa are immortally represented. Then we head to the «Seccsachaca Eco-tourism Complex», where we also find the pools surrounded by rock formations as if they were watching our steps, which we will explore accompanied by unique nature. We will also find a place where we can do rock climbing or have a small contest among the visitors, and after enjoying the tour, we head back to the city. The duration of the tour is approximately 3 and a half hours.

First stop in a small village whose name in Quechua means village of abundance, characterized by its stone constructions. Then we head towards the natural viewpoint of Huancavelica where we can view the city, its different neighborhoods, the Ichu river and the large mountains surrounding the city. Then we head towards the Belén gate (the most important gate) of the historic Santa Bárbara Mine, the main entrance of the old tunnel, where we explain its historical significance for Huancavelica. We also observe the remains of the mercury exploitation plant and finally head to the abandoned village of Santa Bárbara «ghost town» where we will observe the ruins of the houses from that era. The duration of the tour is approximately 2 and a half hours.
